Merry Christmas From Us

We wanted to take a moment and wish all of our listeners a very Merry Christmas! Thanks for tuning in each week! We are taking this week off from recording a new show, but we will be back next week! We have a lot of fun things we are working on for January and can’t wait to share them with you!

Thank you all so much! And, Happy New Year, too!

    Happy holidays, TDS crew! :)

If you’re looking for a fun pick of the week, I came across Incredibox on Pinterest today. It’s an amazing site where you make music — you pick the effects, beat, melody, chorus, voices – and everything comes together in such a fun way. My kids love it. It’s addictive for everyone though! :)

I was trying to get to suzyqscraps blog today and I got a message from google chrome that the site was a known distributor of malware. I thought I’d heard you all talk about this designer on the show, and I thought she had been part of the digi files. I’ve never even seen that message before. How does a website end up getting tagged that way? Can I be reasonably sure that it’s ok to go ahead and click onto her site?
This is the message I got:
Google Chrome has blocked access to this page on suzee-q-stuff.blogspot.com.
Content from suzyqscraps.com, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your computer with malware.
Malware is malicious software that causes things like identity theft, financial loss, and permanent file deletion. Learn more

Hi Valerie! Try going directly to http://suzyqscraps.com/ for her blog, etc. Her products are at Scrap Orchard if you are hankering after a bit of shopping: http://scraporchard.com/market/SuzyQ-Scraps/ The Suzee-q-stuff.blogspot.com site that you tried is, I think, a different Suzy/Suzee. Happy hunting! (I’m sure one of the digi-dudettes here will correct this if I have the wrong Suzy Q!) Happy New Year and Scrap On!

      • Steph says:

Joyce, you are exactly right! the blogspot site is not the same SuzyQ that has contributed to The Digi Files. You will get that malware warning one of two ways (that I’m aware of) 1) if there is malware on the site 2) if you are infected with malware, sometimes you will get a false alarm like that.

I don’t get that alert when attempting to go to either site in Chrome, so you might want to do a scan on your machine.

Thanks, both of you. Steph, I think you’re right. I ran a scan and 3 items were removed. So, now I’m wondering, I’m new to blogging. When I go to my stats, I have several hits from websites that seem a bit suspicious to me (villainstat.com and vampirestat.com). When I google them I see results that show them as legitimate businesses as well as some that mention them attacking blogs in some way (which I don’t completely understand). Are those things that I need to be looking out for? Is there a way to block traffic from suspicious sites? My silly little blog has only been posted for 5 days; I just didn’t think that anyone would be interested in attacking it.
